Credit Manager to oversee credit underwriting and risk assessment across the geo limit assigned to the particular branch .The ideal candidate should have strong experience in credit appraisal, risk evaluation, and policy adherence in the housing finance or affordable lending domain.

  • Must Have :
    • Minimum 3–4 years of credit underwriting experience in Affordable Home Loans or Housing Finance

    • Strong understanding of FOIR, LTV, LCR, and income assessment metrics

    • Hands-on experience in preparing and reviewing Credit Appraisal Reports (CARs)

    • Ability to assess borrower profiles, financial documents, and repayment capacity

    • Knowledge of risk evaluation, policy compliance, and portfolio hygiene

    • Coordination skills for working with sales, legal, and technical teams

    • Proficiency in identifying early warning signals and initiating corrective actions

    • Graduate degree is required; MBA in Finance is preferred

    • Excellent attention to detail, analytical thinking, and decision-making ability

    • Familiarity with affordable housing borrower segments and informal income documentation

Key Responsibilities :

  • Conduct detailed credit appraisal of home loan proposals within defined turnaround times.

  • Analyze borrower profiles, financials, repayment capacity, and determine FOIR, LTV, and LCR limits.

  • Prepare and review Credit Appraisal Reports (CARs) and recommend decisions as per credit policy.

  • Monitor portfolio quality, identify early warning signals, and implement corrective actions.

  • Coordinate with sales, legal, and technical teams for smooth loan processing and disbursement.

  • Ensure policy compliance and contribute to process improvements based on market learnings.

  • Conduct client discussions (as required) to assess intent and repayment behavior.

  • Provide guidance and training to branch credit officers.
