Job description

Oversee recovery operations in the home loan portfolio, with a special focus on hard bucket cases. The role demands a professional with strong hands-on experience in housing loan recoveries, legal awareness, and ability to work Individual as well as lead & manage a small recovery team. The Cluster Recovery Manager will be responsible for driving effective recovery strategies, ensuring compliance with legal frameworks, and maximizing recovery efficiency in their assigned cluster.

  • Skills Required : Home loan recovery expertise, legal knowledge (SARFAESI, 138, etc.), team handling, hard bucket resolution, strong field operations experience, negotiation and persuasion skills, compliance orientation, MIS and reporting, regional language fluency, problem-solving mindset.
  • Pay Details : Up to 8 LPA + Incentives
  • Must Have :
    • Graduate with a minimum of 2–3 years’ experience in Home Loan recovery

    • Proven handling of hard bucket / delinquent accounts in housing finance

    • Understanding of legal recovery processes such as SARFAESI, arbitration, and civil proceedings

    • Willingness to travel extensively within assigned areas

    • Ability to manage and motivate a team of field recovery officers

    • Strong negotiation, communication, and follow-up skills

    • Comfortable working under legal and compliance frameworks

Key Responsibilities :

  • Manage and drive recovery efforts in hard bucket (delinquent) home loan cases

  • Lead and monitor a team of field recovery officers for timely follow-ups and resolution (Individual / Maximum 2 officers)

  • Personally handle critical and high-value recovery cases

  • Coordinate with legal teams and external agencies to initiate and follow through on legal recovery proceedings (SARFAESI, 138, arbitration, etc.)

  • Ensure compliance with all legal and regulatory norms related to collections

  • Track and report progress of recovery efforts across branches in the assigned cluster

  • Engage with defaulting customers and negotiate settlements/resolutions within policy guidelines

  • Visit default locations when needed, especially for escalated accounts

  • Provide regular MIS and recovery performance updates to senior management
